Who We Are?

Tipasa Smart City is an independent non-profit association dedicated to driving the transformation of Tipasa into a fully integrated, sustainable, and connected Smart City. Positioned at the crossroads of public governance, private investment, and academic research, we serve as a permanent interface between local authorities, investors, and the higher education community — fostering a collaborative ecosystem in which every stakeholder plays an active and meaningful role.

Our approach is grounded in the conviction that a Smart City is, above all, a Living Lab — a real-world environment in which innovative solutions are co-designed, tested, refined, and scaled in direct interaction with citizens and institutions. In this sense, Tipasa represents not only a territorial project but a continuous field of experimentation, offering a unique and fertile ground for impactful innovation.

In this dynamic, we see a particularly strategic opportunity in strengthening ties with students and researchers in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, AI-IoT, Mathematics,  and related disciplines. The ongoing Smart City projects under development in Tipasa — spanning intelligent mobility, energy management, digital governance, environmental monitoring, and public services optimization — represent a rich portfolio of real use cases that could directly inspire and host final-year projects, master theses, doctoral research, and applied engineering work.

We are fully committed to acting as a bridge between the city’s implementation roadmap and the academic pipeline — connecting students with concrete, socially relevant challenges, while providing project owners and investors with access to skilled, motivated, and well-supervised talent.
